27 teams to attend Chalous Karate competitions

CHALOUS, Feb. 03 (MNA) – Head of Karate Board of Mazandaran Province has said 27 Iranian and foreign teams will compete in Chalous international competitions.

Hassan Ebrahimi told Mehr News correspondent that 22 Iranian teams and 5 teams from other countries will compete in Kyokushin Sakamoto style upcoming days in city of Chalous.

“100 foreign athletes from Japan, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iraq’s Kurdish autonomous region, and one athlete from Sweden along with 400 Iranian sportsmen will attend the games,” he added.

Ebrahimi also hailed Shihan Fereidoun Firouzi, Head of Kyokushin Sakamoto style committee in Middle East, for his contributions to improvement of the style in Chalous to turn the city into a center for such competitions.

Ebrahimi added that the competitions will kick off on Thursday February 5.
